== Introduction ==

A London Geek convention "Nine Rings", bringing together gamers, SF fans, cult TV, comic books and LARPERS explodes in to chaos as adepts desperate for their magical fix risk rousing the hidden tiger by performing magick in front of mundanes. The characters may not be the most powerful adepts on the block, but they have agendas to fulfil, magick to score and enemies to avoid. Sometimes power brings responsibility; to the adept, no matter how flawed or eccentric, even daydreams have consequences...

All characters are of either gender ...

* Charlie Who, a '''Videomancer''' who draws power from watching episodes of or interacting with ''Dr Who'' memorabilia and cast.

* Kim Starr, a rival '''Videomancer''' whose focus is episodes of ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer''. 

* Randy Rogers, booth babe (either gender) and '''Personomancer''', who knows we all wear masks, and just how to strip them away.

* Dylan Dreggs, drunken nuisance & '''Dipsomancer''' who needs the booze to fuel his/her magic, and to keep moving... 

* Bobby B, '''Mechanomancer'''; the classic weird scientist, whose devices are powered by the supernatural!

* H. W. FitzWalter, CEO of Cloud Broadcasting, and '''Plutomancer''', for who money is naked power that fuels magic! 

Caught up at Nine Worlds, these occult loners realise they have powerful enemies, and may be forced to bond together to escape a new force in London's Occult Underground...

== What is Unknown Armies? ==

''Unknown Armies'' "A roleplaying game of power and consequences", is an occult-themed roleplaying game by John Tynes and Greg Stolze and published by Atlas Games.  The game is set in a modern-day "occult underground," populated by loose networks of shadowy cabals and practitioners of magic. The style and setting of the game draw on a number of influences, including the fantasy novels of Tim Powers, the crime novels of James Ellroy, the films of David Lynch, ''the Illuminatus! Trilogy'', and comic books such as Grant Morrison's ''The Invisibles''. The game creates an extensive postmodern mythology of everyday weirdness and magic that lurks in the shadows of the mind.
