Cad Gadu is the Domus Magna of Ex Miscelania and the heart of the Columbine warding tradition, situated in Central North Wales in Lake Bala (Now called Llyn Tegid) in among the mountains of Snowdonia. Their power is great, but largely symbolic, and they still await the return of Pralix the Founder, centuries lost to Twilight. Recently they have been under scrutiny as linked to Welsh nationalism and Celtic revivalism which are dangerous currents in mortal politics. The covenant denies any knowledge of these things.

Whilst there is a boat on the shore of the lake there is no ferryman and the boat is of poor quality and prone to capsizing.

The island is surrounded by 20 foot cliffs on all sides except for one that has a wooden jetty and an abandoned guardpost on the southern side. aside from this, the island contains, three stone cottages with unusually elaborate windows, one has a stable attached and they are surrounded by some older ruins, which they were evidently built atop of.

A path paved in white stones leads to a large well guarded gatehouse which is the entrance to a regio that houses the covenant proper.

Regio level 1: The Covenant - This is the part that most guests see if they can bribe or bully the uncooperative grogs. The regio appears to be on an island shrouded in fog, visitors are warned to stay clear of the fog.

Known Magi (There are 9 at present)

• Ebroin ex Misc (Former Tytalus) (Current Praco of House Ex Miscelania) - Ebroin presents as a serious mage without a sense of humour. In his first 3 Tribunals several other Ex Misc refused his leadership. (Most of them died in the giant, witch & dragon army in Loch Leglean that had sacked Brabonicum, Jarrow and the Mercer House (then in London with a portal from Brab).

Ebroin twice applied to Tribunal for an order of a census of Ex Miscellanea members. Both were refused but Tribunal issued the request that magi considering themselves to be of House Ex Misc write to Ebroin.

• Gwrhyr Ex Miscellanea - A old man apparently in his 50's who wears robes clearly embroidered with magical symbols. Prone to bluster and self-importance despite not being particularly powerful.
  • Culhwch Ex Miscellanea - Former apprentice of Gwrhyr.
• Eithe-Duidas ex Misc - A giant of a woman with head to toe blue tattoos, when not travelling she often goes skyclad, although it's unclear if this is for some mystical reason or simply a personal preference.

Former Magi:

• Immanola - Former Prima of House ex Miscelania, Elderly and frail she was also the leader of the Columbine tradition. A skilled prophetess who wandered prior to arriving at Cad Gadu and taking the role of Primus. She is believed to have entered final twilight at around 150 years of age.
• Gharad - An elderly magi whose blindness and Twilights left her delusional prior to entering what is believed to be her final twilight.
