Deep in the heart of Dartmoor, where the mist clings to the craggy peaks and the standing stones whisper to the wind, stands the Covenant of Roughtop Tor—a place of ancient magic and dangerous secrets. For centuries, it has been home to some of the greatest minds in the Order of Hermes, a sanctuary for scholars and seekers of hidden knowledge.
But something is wrong.
Two months ago, Septimus of Bonisagus disappeared while investigating an ancient Roman ruin beneath the tor. Now, he has returned, but something about him is... different. He cannot remember where he has been. He is not the only one who is uneasy. A shadow looms over the covenant—strange omens, missing magi, and the creeping influence of a power long thought buried.
As the Midsummer Moot approaches, tensions within the Order threaten to tear Roughtop Tor apart. House Tremere seeks to claim the covenant for their own. A murder may have already been committed. And beneath the tor, something stirs, waiting to be found—or to wake.
