In which the Witches and other Guernsey folk turn a faerie invasion into part of the stuff of island legend.
The year is 1372. Things have been fairly quiet of late, with just a few pirate raids. The last major upset was in 1340 when the Black Death was still taking victims and the French Capetian navy went exploring the bottom of the sea.
Maybe the witches defend themselves well. Could it be that the Order of Hermes did not overlook the islands, although records are blank? Were the prayers of the monks answered? And will the disposessed Norman seigneur find a fortune?
