Friday

Hugh dressed for a freeform

All welcome, even if you are not ticket holders to join us for the Social Friday night: come see what Grand Tribunal all about! Unlike previous years we are meeting from 4pm at the Board n Bites board games café at Royal Well, Cheltenham where we have both inside and garden seating and there will be a bar, soft drinks and a number of food options available for purchase as well as dozens of board games we can play. --The café is lovely but unfortunately situated down a flight of stairs, so I am making enquiries about alternative access as we want our venues to be accessible to all. If access is an issue please let me know!

Saturday

2014 Freeform

10:00-22:00 - Gas Green Community Centre, see venue page for details. Please bring a packed lunch. Fish & chip supper can be delivered, optional. The nearby supermarket & corner shop both sell sandwiches.

Schedule to be announced. Typically we start with a short optional freeform.

Session A: 10am to 12 noon. The infamous light hearted freeform. This year "Echoes of Time Renewed" by Christopher Barrett. There is a sign up form but I can't link to it from the ones I've been sent. Shall update soon!

Session B: 1pm till 5pm.

  • The Mists of Wicken Fen, an Ars Magica adventure by CJ. England 1226. Two apprentice magicians go missing in the Fens of Eastern England: a magician and her friends are sent to locate them and bring them home safely. Weird things are afoot though in the marshes, and soon everyone must work together if anyone is to escape alive!

OR

Session C: 5pm to 6.30pm Dinner & Raffle.

Session D: 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Meet the Former Line Editor. Our special guest David Chart talks about Ars Magica. As he is now unable to join us this will be an online event.

Session D: 7.30pm till close.

  • Checking out Thera's Hot Spots an Ars Magica adventure by Martin. Setting sail a group of Research Magi may have bitten off more than they can chew. A short trip to look for historical relics into a lost Regio.

Sunday

9:00-16:00 - Gas Green Community Centre, see venue page for details. Sunday may involve re-runs of games that were booked solid on their first run on Saturday too. Board & Bites café have agreed to deliver food to the venue, so I can place orders in the morning for you. Alternatively please bring a packed lunch or visit local shops. In deference to our hosts no alcohol please in the venue.

9.30am - 12.30pm SESSION E

  • The Little Sisters of St. George. The eight nuns of St. George's convent live a secluded life, and the Mother Superior attempts to keep them free from the temptations and troubles of the world. Living on the Suffolk side of the Thetford, their world is one of joyful prayer and adventures are quire unknown. Or at least that was the case, until a summer's evening in 1214... Come play one of the good and holy sisters in this unusual Ars Magica scenario by CJ -- and avoid being led astray by the curious nun!

1pm - 4pm SESSION F

Sunday Evening Social

At 7.30 pm it is traditional for those delegates remaining in Cheltenham to go for a curry, and to go to the pub.
