- 10.30 - 2.30pm The Freeform A Quiet Night In by Kirstie Sceats and Andrew Sceats. Everyone is cordially invited to participate in this event as always. Click on the link for more details on how to register for a role. This is the live-action highlight of the weekend. Suitable for all players, and an ideal ice-breaker for getting to know everyone at the convention.
Afternoon Slot
3pm to 5.30pm
- Shadows of the Box by Anna Jones You have each agreed to escort an old, battered-looking Grecian Box that needs to be taken to the forge of the Cave of Twisting Shadows to be fitted with a new clasp. The elder Magi who gave you this duty were very insistent that a strong party should go and go immediately, but they are not always connected with reality these days.
- The Silence of the Korrigans by Andrew Oakley; set in Britanny. This game follows from "The Cathedral and the Bizarre" at Grand Tribunal 2012, and incorporates elements of the Ars Magica supplements "Lion and the Lily" and "Faerie Magic". No knowledge of the previous game or the supplements is required.
- The Italian Job by CJ You play crack team of loyal(?) grogs. Your mission - to enter Magvillus during a local festival, penetrate the security and recover the fabled Duresca Scrolls from the vault for a renegade Flambeau!
Early evening
5.30pm to 6.30pm Break for evening meal & charity raffle. Please bring a packed lunch. The nearby supermarket & corner shop both sell sandwiches. There will be an opportunity to have take-away food delivered to the venue in the early evening; in 2012 this was £4 for small fish & chips - this is not included in your ticket.
Late evening
7pm to Close
- The Tragedy of Young Werther a freeform by CJ--It's a very different approach to a freeform - everything is determined in play, and the plot and story emerges from the interactions, exploring the character. By the end Werther, who lived at Durenmar in the years immediately preceding the schism War, will have a full and wonderful story to add to our knowledge of Hermetic History.
- A Ride with the Valkyrie by Anders Håkon Gaut An off the beaten path adventure for a group of characters not very strong in magic exploring the dirtier (and probably more lewd) parts of the Norse Mythology
- A Night on the Tiles run by Lloyd Graney. Can the animals save the covenant when all the magi are asleep?
Sunday 18 August 2013
10am-5pm - Gas Green Community Centre, see venue page for details. Sunday may involve re-runs of games that were booked solid on their first run on Saturday too. Please bring a packed lunch. The nearby supermarket & corner shop both sell sandwiches.
Morning Slot
10am - 1pm
- Unquiet Grave II by Leif Olav Josang This is a sequel to last year's game "The Unquiet Grave".
- Levantine Mystery Hunt by Mark Steedman Six young magi are searching the Levant for interesting sites, maybe ones to build a covenant at, but also good sources of vis...
- The Treacle Mines of Pendle by Phil Jenkins When you go to collect the annual vis from the Treacle Mine you never expected any problems. A tale of Lancashire folklore for a magi, an apprentice, a magical animal companion (fox), a hedge witch companion and two very rude grogs.
- A Ride with the Valkyrie: Second Run by Anders Håkon Gaut An off the beaten path adventure for a group of characters not very strong in magic exploring the dirtier (and probably more lewd) parts of the Norse Mythology
Afternoon Slot
1pm to 4pm
- Houses of Hermes by CJ This is a boardgame designed by CJ for the Tribunal, in which players take on the roles of a Primus of a House, build alliances and support and attempt to weather the political events in the period 1196 to 1228.
- So Long at the Fair by Andrew Sceats A young Redcap, who has fallen foul of a much older Magus, contacts the Covenant of The Silent Word to claim his right to a Tremere Certamen champion. - The Three Little Men in the Wood by Jonathan Elcock Two companions and two grogs are sent to the wild wood to collect vis from the Three Little Men. But somehow the instructions on what to do have become garbled. Can they successfully complete their mission?
